Our chief guest The Right Honourable MP Mr Eric pickles rightly remarked, ‘What took us so long in Launching the Zorastrian APPG, when it was more than 100 years ago that the first Asian MP in UK was the Right Honourable Mr Dadabhai Naoroji who was a Zoroastrian Parsee. Mr Eric Pickles, our chief Guest, delivered a very short but, cogent speech, when he reminded us; What took it so long for us to be recognised in such a prestigious manner; when it was over a Hundred years ago when the First Asian MP who was elected to the House of Commons was a Zoroastrian Parsi Mr Dadabhai Naoroji. I congratulate our Harrow MP Mr. Gareth Thomas and our dear Lord Billimoria for having the foresight to host this occasion in such a generous and grand manner.
